Haunted hotel downtown San Diego?

okay, so my friends were talking about this haunted hotel thing in downtown San Diego. they said it was 20 stories high, super scary and if you got to the top then you get your money back. but hardly anyone ever gets to the top. They say the staff can kind of rough you up a bit too so it makes it even scarier. not like tackle you or anything but just touch or separate you from your friends or something. Anyway, i've looked on line and the closest thing i've found to it is the haunted hotel. it's the only haunted house thing in san diego that has a ';children under 10 not recommended'; warning so I'm guessing that's the one. however, i was looking on the site and couldnt find anything about it being 20 stories high and i couldn't find anything about getting your money back if you reach the top. and the site also says that it has a strict no touch policy and its basically just walking down scary hallway looking through rooms. That doesn't sound very scary and it doesnt say how long it is or if you get your money back for reaching the top. is what my friends say true( 20 stories, money back for reaching the top, get seperated from your group and a bit roughed up, etc)? because i've heard it from several different friends but can't find anything about it online.Haunted hotel downtown San Diego?
Wow...I live in San Diego and have no clue what you are talking about and I LOVE hauntings??? There is the famous Hotel del Coronado which is said to be haunted but I dont know if its 20 stories high and i doubt the staff play along with haunt games. Cant wait to see if anyone comes up with the answer!!! Is this a Halloween thing?? I did a search and found this: http://www.hauntedhotel.com/Haunted hotel downtown San Diego?
not even true. click on the link and read the urban legend.

this rumor seems to run rampart in the month of october

This is crazy I don't know where or how this rumor got started but at least one person will post this question somewhere every year. I've heard 2 floors, 10 floors, a most common 13 floors, but yours is the tallest so far haha

It sounds like fun but there is no such business in San Diego. You see my friend we're in debt and we just can't afford the sexual harassment suit, or financial disputes, or workers comp claims, or whatever else people are lame enough to file for if we created such a place. Plus 20 floors it would have to be at like Wells Fargo, AT%26amp;T, Manchester or some other ppl who own a building tall enough for this and there's no way they let us trample around their waxed floor office suites for a holiday. We can't even drink on the beaches here now so there's no way this would pass with our growing bucket list candidates.

However, there are a few trust fund babies down here so it is possible one or a few of them set up their own haunted place with these specs set out, who knows. But it won't be any place advertised in the local paper.

Go back to your friends and play it cool and tell them to prove it.

Hope this helps friend! :)
