I recently attended a medical conference and we stayed at the Sheraton Wall Centre. It is a beautiful hotel, centrally located to everything. The staff was outstanding, the room (request the North Tower) had a breathtaking view from the floor to ceiling window, and the amenities were what you would certainly expect from a 4 star hotel. Price wasn't too bad either, for downtown. It's walking distance to just about everything you might want to do or see in town, including the ferry to Granville Island. Century Plaza
The Pan Pacific
The Opus Hotel
The Sutton Place Hotel
The Wedgewood Hotel
A couple of other good ones are The Four Seasons and The Hyatt Regency.
