I find that I can save a lot of money by booking my air and hotel separate. You will save a lot by avoiding weekends, special events %26amp; large conventions.

Check hotel rates

These are ';generally'; 4 of the least expensive nights of the year. May 26th-29th - The least expensive time to visit LV is after the NFR(National Finals Rodeo) up until the weekend before New Years.

The nicest hotel downtown is the Golden Nugget. This 4 star hotel often runs specials.

My Favorite is Main Street Station

The Four Queens is a very nice hotel.

The El Cortez ';tower rooms'; are very nice, large %26amp; a bargain.

When searching for the best price for our trip I found that it was the most inexpensive to book without a package. Find the cheapest flight you can then find the hotel with the best deal. There are a lot right now having winter specials. The Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Luxor, Mirage, MGM they all have some sort of deal going on.

We live in Canada and we paid 370 for flight, and through a deal stay $79 per night at the MGM grand. So in total it cost about $500 for two people. We split the hotel 3 ways so even less! Plus it was a very nice hotel. A lot of the package deals I see are not the nicest hotels, and if they are they are to expensive.

Also if you sign up for the promotions for the MGM Mirage company who owns pretty much half of the nice places to stay in Vegas you will get emails with deals everyday!

I always book separately to save money. We are going in March and we paid a total of $1181 for flight and hotel for four people. We caught the $99 fares on Southwest.com, which made our tickets only $200 each, and we always stay at Excalibur when we can get their $51 rates. Downtown hotels are even cheaper than strip hotels so you could probably look at about $40 per night. Sign up for the email offers from the dowtown hotels through their websites and they will send you promotional offers for discounted rooms and such.

If you must book the trip together, I recommend Southwest Vacations. They have the most affordable packages. They are still slightly more expensive than if you book the hotel separately, though.

If you can go during the week, you are going to save a lot of money all around. Have Fun! With open travel dates, you have endless possibilities. If you want to let me know your location and such, I will look up flights and hotels and let you know what I find.
