The Monaco is a visually interesting boutique hotel. The hotel's restaurant, Sazerac, is lavish.

The Alexis Hotel has unique decor with specialty suites including the Author's Suite, the Pacific Northwest Ballet suite, the Canlis Glass suite, and the Seattle Art Museum suite. It also has the very cool Library Bistro and Bookstore Bar.

I would recommend any of the places that ccarriecc listed. If you want a very distinct hotel with a little more of a ';European'; feel, check out the Ace Hotel on 1st and Wall St in Belltown.
